Cautions:Star Anise oil is estrogenic and therefore should not be used in pregnancy, breastfeeding, endometriosis, and estrogen-sensitive cancers. We recommend a maximum dilution of 1.75%.

Instantly recognizable by its warm, sweet licorice scent, Star Anise essential oil is believed to be helpful during a woman’s normal transition to menopause. It helps ease the sudden heat and sweating which often is present during this trying time in women’s lives. This oil is also helpful in relieving the feeling of having over-indulged at the dinner table. Star Anise can help smooth out the discomfort and fullness of a “tight tummy.”

Directions : For a nice pick-me-up, diffuse 3 drops Aniseed, 2 drops Lemon and 1 drop Peppermint. This same blend of oils in two teaspoons of carrier oil applied to the abdomen is also helpful with calming occasional digestive upset or a queasy stomach.
