貓薄荷是薄荷家族的一員，但它也有悠久的傳統草藥使用歷史。

貓薄荷之所以叫做貓薄荷，與貓這種動物有着很緊密的關係，經過研究發現，有百分之五十的貓對貓薄荷的氣味有強烈的興趣，使用種植物之後會產生幻覺，並且會有短暫的時間會使貓隻行為反常。雖然會發生這些反應，但是貓薄荷對貓隻是沒有害處的，也沒有成癮性。所以貓薄荷對貓隻的健康不會產生任何影響。對人類卻有鎮靜的功效，而且貓薄荷亦有驅蚊作用。


使用方法：

擴香療法：3-4滴精油混合100毫升水，每天 1-3 次

吸入療法：將2-3滴精油滴入個人吸入器中使用。

外用：稀釋至1-2％於基底油中使用

🔴初用精油者，建議先做香薰測試，稀釋精油後，把小量精油塗抹在手腕內側待30分鐘，測試沒有不良反應後，才使用到皮膚上 
🔴避免接觸眼睛，如不慎精油入眼，可用純植物基底油及溫水清洗
🔴請放在兒童接觸不到的地方
🔴僅供外部使用
🔴使用橘類精油後，避免日光浴及需要塗上防曬乳液
🔴存放於陰涼處，避免陽光直接照射。用後請立即旋緊瓶蓋，可減緩氧化速度
🔴請勿直接塗抹未經稀䆁精油在皮膚上
🔴不可將精油與其他藥品共同使用
🔴月經期間，靜脈曲張，痔瘡患者，高血壓，孕婦不宜採用香薰浸浴
🔴關節腫脹/發炎，發燒，骨折部位，靜脈曲張(血管)部位，癌症患者，嚴重疾病患者，不宜採用香薰按摩法
🔴如懷孕或在醫生的護理下，使用前請諮詢您的醫生
